If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with understanding how the mind works. Probably the biggest thing I found out in reading this book was that something could be done about the mind, that behavior could be changed for the better, which is much different than what you hear in society today.
